2023 COVID 19 UPDATE

The health and safety of our staff and students remains our number one priority. We continue to follow preventative measures declared by Space Launch Delta 45, which are currently at Health Protection Condition Alpha (HPCON A). At this operating status, most of our courses will be facilitated/delivered in person.

The most recent DEOMI course schedule can be found at the tab above.

Thank you for your patience and continued support throughout this pandemic.

ACCREDITATION

DEOMI’s accreditation was reaffirmed by the Council on Occupational Education (COE) on 17 Sep 2020.

The COE has accredited DEOMI since 1983 (Prior to 1995, COE was known as the Commission on Occupational Educational Institutions (COEI) of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS)). Our last institutional self-study and COE team visit was conducted from July 11 – July 24, 2020. The site visit team awarded DEOMI two rare "Commendations." The first commendation was for website products shared publicly at https://www.defenseculture.mil/Research/Library/ which contain a variety of tools designed for instructors and course graduates in application of knowledge, skills, and abilities learned at DEOMI. The second commendation was for the instructor Evaluation and Certification Program including the documentation and recurring annual evaluation requirements. The program ensures competent lesson plan content and execution to effectively engaging students in the learning process. As a result, our accreditation was continued on September 17, 2020.
